Andy Garland is a playwright, poet, director and screenwriter currently residing in Vancouver. Some of his previous works include “A Year Off,” (Special Merit Prize, Canadian National Playwriting Competition) “A-Grade,” “And Then, The Lights Went Out,” and “Sea of Green,” (Winner of the 2009 Uprising National Playwriting Competition.) He was part of the Playwright’s Unit at the Citadel Theatre in 2011, and holds both an Applied Degree and Diploma from Red Deer College for Motion Picture Arts and Theatre Acting, respectively. His most recent directing credits include the web series “Post Mortem” and the spoken-word video “Pyramid.”
Nominally a playwright/actor, David Johnston is thrilled to be a part of the world premiere of Deadmonton. Recent works from his in-house production company Allspice Theatre include the Sterling-nominated Game Face and No Choking Matter (Fringe Festival). Recent performance credits include The Full Monty (Two One-Way Tickets To Broadway Productions) and Little Shop of Horrors (No Tomatoes Theatricals). David currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, where he performs as a company member in Grindstone Theatre’s weekly improvised musical The 11 O’Clock Number. He is an excellent whistler, a mediocre juggler, and a terrible unicyclist.
